What softPause is

softPause is a breathing practice for moments of stress. It suggests a breath and paces you through it. It is a breathing practice, not medical care, and it does not replace a doctor or emergency services.

If you have trouble breathing, chest pain or feel faint, or you are thinking about harming yourself, stop and get urgent help: use Not okay? in the app or call your local emergency number. If a breath feels uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally.

No account

softPause works without an account. Your pauses and settings stay on your phone, as described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

softPause+

Some features are part of softPause+, sold as a yearly subscription or a one-time purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

• Payment is taken by Apple or Google, under their terms.
• A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Three sighs from any level, Not okay?, the check-in after every pause and your latest pauses stay free, always.

Using the app

You may use softPause for your own, personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t copy, resell, or try to extract the app’s code or content, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

If you downloaded softPause from the App Store, Apple’s Standard License Agreement also applies. If it and these terms disagree, these terms apply between you and us, and Apple’s agreement applies to Apple.

No guarantee

We build softPause carefully, but it is provided “as is”. We can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that any breath will help in a particular moment. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change matters, the app or this page will say so before it applies.
